Summer Getaway 2010

This is us with the Dolphin "Jenny" at Discovery Cove!

This was while waiting for the "Shamu" show "Believe" to start!

This was a huge wall of ice in the "Actic" at Seaworld right near the Baluga Whale area!

This is video of the end of the "Sea Lion and Walrus" show!

As soon as school was out, we left to take Gunnar and Troy up to Orlando. They havn't been to Seaworld yet. Troy graduated successfully to 3rd grade! Gunnar also graduated up to 6th grade (Middle School!) and with straight A's!!! We are so proud of both of them! Gunnar's reward for getting all A's was that he now has satalite (Directv) in his room. He also has money put towards his account for a flat screen tv.

We headed up to Orlando with our dog in the car. We headed to the same resort we stayed at last year, Floridays Resort. On our way we stopped in Tampa to visit Scott's sister Diana for an hour or so. It was great to see her and Marissa for a moment at least.

On Friday, we spent the day in Seaworld. What a great time! Troy doesn't do the rollercoasters, but was very patient with the rest of us who do. The "Manta" was interesting. I love coasters but, didn't care so much for being swooshed around while laying on my stomach. Gunnar....loved it!! The best ever rollercoaster was the "Kraken" #1 for sure! Troy enjoyed a simulated helicopter crash landing in the Arctic, followed by a stroll through the Arctic animal areas. We viewed Baluga whales, polar bears etc.

Saturday was our planned day at Discovery Cove! Wow!, we all enjoyed the day, all of us said it was our favorite of our getaway! Gunnar now tells people he has a girlfriend in Orlando. He even kissed her! He just doesn't tell them she's a 600 pound dolphin!

Tuesday we went to Aquatica (water park) for Scott's birthday. We had a nice time there too! We left just in time, before the rains came down. We went out to dinner to an "All you can eat" lobster buffet! Scott enjoyed it! Plenty more pics to look at if you'd like, just click here!
