Our summer family vacation

We headed for Orlando. Our plans are to go to Wet N Wild waterpark and visit Green Meadows Farm. Gunnar and Troy have never been to Wet N Wild but years ago I took them to the farm and they loved it! We decided to not burden anyone with watching our dog Sadie, so we found a hotel that we could just pay a fee and bring her with us. The boys were so excited to be able to do this. None of us had ever traveled with our pet before. We made her a nice bed in the back which she barely used. Most of the time she stayed as close to us as she could. She was great for the ride up to Tampa.

When we got to Tampa we stopped in to visit Scott's sister Diana and Marissa! We visited them and their friends Rod, Kim, Senara, and her new baby brother Brendan. After a few hours of swimming and visiting. we left for our hotel in Orlando.

So we are headed to our hotel called Floridays Resort. We decided for our trip we would make use of Scott's birthday present from his parents, a Magellan GPS for our car. We nick named it Mag (Maj). The resort is fairly new so the address we put in the GPS was the construction address we found out. So, Mag took down some dirt roads and up through the back way. We ended up driving up the grass area and jumping a curb to get into the resort, so I said "Hi Floridays Resort please welcome the Griswalds!". Upon check in we got the correct address to put into the GPS for the rest of our stay! :-p

The next day Scott fed the kids breakfast, donuts (vacation allows this and they picked them out the night before.) I had my coffee, took the dog for a brief run, and we all headed out for Wet N Wild! I didn't get any pic due to the water and no water camera, but we all had a blast! Troy's favorite ride "Disco H2O". He went one this so many times maybe 6 or 7 times. We bought the fast past which was well worth the hefty fee! Gunnar loved "The Storm" water slide. I went on it once, it's like getting flushed down a toilet, getting the water shoved up your nose. I loved "The Bomb Bay" slide. You get in this capsule and the lifeguard pushes the button and the floor drops out and you free fall for a second then continue down the water slide as you receive a powerful wedgie, but worth it! I think Scott mostly enjoyed the wave pool. :-) After going on the Brainwash with Gunnar that was the most he could tolerate. Troy & I knew better!
