Monday, July 27th 2009 was the first day of a Mon. through Thurs. 8:00am to 5:00pm football camp at First Baptist Church Naples, which is where Gunnar will be playing his first year of tackle football. Actual practices start mid August. His team is called Beacons. Anyway, this week is the camp where they'll learn the fundamentals of football, positions, nutrition, daily devotional, etc.
Monday night he came home with a headache, took a shower, had a bit of dinner, and went to lay in Scott and my bed to wind down watching our TV. After a while Scott and I went in to see about getting him into bed......he was asleep! LOL! I loved it, he was completely wiped out! He told us the next morning that he fell asleep around 7:00pm! So, not like Gunnar.
He's having a lot of fun with it though, and has several friends in camp too, so a nice change for him from regular summer camp.
Troy is still going to summer camp, but because Gunnar starts earlier than Troy's camp, Troy and I have been enjoying each other's one on one time with our pancakes at McDonalds! He's been looking forward to that set aside time every morning now. Me too! :-)
