Celebrating Gunnar's 10th Birthday
Each year for Gunnar and Troy's birthday we give them a choice. They can have a party and invite their friends, or they can have a $100 bill! :) Gunnar obviously chose the money. Troy did the same for his birthday in August. This picture above is first thing in the morning. Gunnar woke me up at 2:30 am, then at 6:30 am with Troy next to him. Scott and I finally got out of bed at 7:00 am. He was just a little excited!
We usually get them a gift or two to go with their birthday money. Gunnar really wanted a PSP (Playstation Portable). It's a handheld portable Playstation with lots of extras like downloading music, videos, playing video games and Skype (wi-fi), internet and much more I'm sure. I still have to read the booklet to set the parental settings.
Originally we had planned to use our 2 day passes to Disney on Thurday and Friday. They were left over from our last trip there. The weather was calling to be windy and lots of rain, so we decided to nix that plan. The boys were a little disappointed, not just about not going to Disney, but being able to miss school both days, so we let them skip school on Friday, and took them to Fort Myers. We went towards the beach and played Jungle golf, then went to open family time at a place called "Pump It Up!". Both Gunnar and Troy went there this summer with summer camp, and they both loved it! Both times!
On Sunday we had over Scott's parents, Wendy (his sister) and her two daughters, Ally (7) and Ashley (4). We ate pizza, and cake and the kids ran around and played while we watched the Dolphins win again! It seemed like such a long, fun weekend. Even though Scott and I worked a Christmas party on Saturday. That's why we let Gunnar (and Troy) skip school, since we had to work on Gunnars' actual birth day.
Anyway, back to reality Gunnar and family! We're trying to finish getting ready for Christmas now. If you'd like check out "Our Family Photo Album" on the right for lots of pictures of our weekend, feel free!Tina
